Cool, young city with lots to do. Target is based here. Really cold in the winter, but at least it’s affordable

Minneapolis has a reputation as one of the most literate cities in the US. It also has probably the worst weather of any major American city: unbearably cold in the winter and stifling hot in the summer. Also home to the Mall of America, the city seems to have a lot of traffic and sprawl. In the 1990’s the city had a crime epidemic and earned the nickname “Murderapolis”, though things have improved somewhat. The city is beloved by its citizens, and real estate is pricier than other places in the Midwest. It is also Prince’s hometown.
